Company Profile Kognosys Sdn Bhd is a Malaysian technology company building infrastructure for organisations that need AI to increase their capability without giving up accountability or ownership of their data, decisions and processes. Our platform, SenangAI, serves enterprises, government-linked companies (GLCs) and public-sector agencies that operate under strict requirements for data protection, security and auditability. These organisations typically hold information across many disconnected systems and cannot rely on offshore platforms that move sensitive data outside their control. SenangAI connects this fragmented data within a secure, isolated environment, allowing teams to search, analyse and act on institutional knowledge while the data remains under the organisation's control. The platform is built on three principles. Sovereignty: SenangAI can be deployed within the customer's own infrastructure or in-country environments, keeping data within Malaysian jurisdiction. Secure data isolation: each organisation's information is separated, with access governed by role-based controls. Controlled workflows from question to action: users move from asking a question, to retrieving the relevant information, to triggering an approved workflow, with every step logged for governance and audit. This design supports compliance with Malaysia's evolving regulatory framework, including the Personal Data Protection (Amendment) Act 2024, the Cyber Security Act 2024 and the National Guidelines on AI Governance and Ethics. It also aligns with the national sovereign AI agenda. In his Budget 2026 speech, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced an RM2 billion allocation for a National Sovereign AI Cloud, led by MCMC, to keep national data and computing capacity within Malaysia's borders. Sovereign AI is also one of the seven working groups under the National AI Office (NAIO), established in December 2024 and now driving implementation under Malaysia Digital 2030. As this national infrastructure comes online, organisations will need a secure application and governance layer to connect their own data, control access and turn information into approved actions. SenangAI is designed to be that layer. Kognosys works with customers directly and through a growing network of channel partners, enabling SenangAI to reach organisations across Malaysia and, in the longer term, the wider ASEAN region, where Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia are introducing similar AI and data sovereignty requirements.
