Company Profile Nalagenetics was built with the passion to give access to personalized prescription to as many people as possible. Two of the co-founders have seen and felt firsthand the betrayal of drugs that were supposed to cure their family members, but instead caused them permanent side effects. It was then that we realized, without understanding how to best use them, innovations in pharma and biotech, meant little to the people who need it most.There is a field, pharmacogenomics, that studies the relationship of genomics and drug metabolism. We think the reason why this isn’t yet adopted in the region is because of low cost effectiveness: compared to status quo, current interventions are too expensive for an effect that is not well measured.To address that problem, Nalagenetics builds platforms to better understand safety and efficacy of prescription in Asians. We have three products that ideally is adopted as an integrated service:1. Genetic test that is 5-10x cheaper than current golden standard2. Clinical decision support tool that incorporates Asian studies and validations3. Patient engagement tool that allows patient and physicians to chat and track medication progress and gather datato fine-tune clinical recommendations over time. We hope that the safety and efficacy data will also be useful forinsurance and pharma.
