Company Profile H2Vyom Cleantech Solutions is a start-up company aiming to be the world leader in electrolyser technology for Green Hydrogen production.The hydrogen demand is currently at 90 million metric tons across sectors and is projected to reach ~200 million metric tons by 2030 with an estimated market size of $200 billion. Currently, more than 95% of hydrogen is produced from fossil fuels such as natural gas, methane, and coal, contributing approximately 12 Kg of CO2 for every 1 Kg of Hydrogen produced. As the world strives to move swiftly towards net-zero carbon emission targets, public and private sectors are fervently looking to implement greener technologies for hydrogen production with minimal or no reliance on fossil fuels. One such technology is water electrolysis, where electric potential applied to water results in ionizing of water and evolution of hydrogen.While there are several versions of water electrolysers in the market with varying efficiencies and production costs, such as proton exchange membrane electrolyser, alkaline water electrolyser, and solid oxide electrolyser, they suffer from a variety of limitations such as high capital costs, high operating costs, durability, process efficiency and supply chain viability.H2Vyom offers another variant of electrolysers, known as anion exchange membrane electrolysers, that rely on a similar process but with innovative membrane chemistry and electrolysed stack design, as a more effective alternative. The benefits of H2Vyom technology include 30% higher efficiency, 60% lower OPEX and 40% lower CAPEX, compared to existing technologies.In order to develop the prototype and validate the technology at large pilot scale, H2Vyom is seeking $2 million in investments, with a minimum ticket size of $500,000. The funding would be utilized for R&D, prototype construction and MVP validation in a period of 1.5 years. The initial plan is to conduct the R&D, IP development, and MVP construction in Singapore.
