Company Profile The CompanyThe team started its first research and development meeting on the 27th of February 2020 during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim is to combat the spread of the novel coronavirus thru improved indoor air quality using innovative, affordable, and stylish solutions to air disinfection. The project was rolled out and funded by ARID Builders Pte Ltd under the leadership of its founder and CEO, Mr. James Paul Pilande.The first product, the Pendant Light Purifier (PLP) conceptual model was completed on 24th March and was applied for a patent on 31st March 2020. The team worked despite the circuit breaker period and the full working prototype was completed on the 5th of June. Further improvements were added and product testing under TUV-SUD PSB Pte Ltd started on the 28th of September 2020.LumenAire Pte Ltd was officially registered as a Singapore company on the 6th of October 2020. By the end of December, the first batch of products was completed for local and overseas sales at the start of January 2021.On the 24th of March 2021, LumenAire Pte Ltd has been selected as a finalist to the CapitaLand Sustainability X Challenge for healthy buildings alongside 5 more finalists including those from powerhouse the United States and China.The ProductIntroducing LumenAire™ UV Air Disinfection Solution, a simple yet effective way to clean, disinfect and eliminate airborne pathogens in the air by using the proven ozone-free germicidal UV-C light technology that destroys the nucleic acid in the micro-organisms DNA disrupting their ability to perform vital cellular functions, combined with our method of passing air to a highly reflective irradiation chamber for longer periods before releasing it back into the room.Our UVGI system is shielded against exposure to skin and eyes, so it is safe to use even in occupied spaces.*LumenAire™ is a patent-pending product designed and manufactured locally and supported by ENTERPRISE SINGAPORE grant.
